Not bad, just rusty

Tanks, please.

I haven’t had an awful lot of time recently to dedicate to “Dead Reckoning”, but I put some hours in over the weekend and managed to get a fair chunk done.

I mainly constructed the two tanks the vehicle is transporting. These are Forgeworld models, “Solar Auxilia Basilisk” and “Armageddon Pattern Medusa”. The latter of which was a hot pile of garbage in its raw form. Lovely design, but the resin was warped and shrunk in places. It was a real mother to put together, with a lot of fudging in-between. Not a fan – and it’s become a real commonality with these FW models (especially the older ones like this)

The smaller tracks at the rear of the transport have been made from 4 “Rapier Quad” kits. I’ve double up each track section to add more bulk and substance to the overall look. With just one track section it looked as if it couldn’t support the weight of the vehicle, much like the main tracks in the middle.

I’ve still got a lot of work to do on this model yet, including a small re-design of the undercarriage compartments and a widening of the trailer to fit the Solar Auxilia. That said, I think it’s coming along very nicely…
